This whole subscription base software where in order to be able to open and image for editing you have to upload to Adobe servers and add it to a database, I don't like it and I wish we had alternatives. Apple/Macs hardware are the most robust and powerful, they run smooth, but they sure make it difficult for you to import and open files, it takes the whole joy out using Apple products. I am thinking it might be because there is not a direct way to send an image to lightroom and open it, the image first have to be imported into the lightroom database for it to be open and edit within lightroom. Xee has a menu where you can choose which default editor but Lightroom is never one of the options available. The issue that I am having is that it refuses to see Lightroom 5 as one of the available editor, it will see photoshop, google picasa, and the finder preview. When I run into an image that I want to edit, I press cmd+E and it will send the image to the default editor. My work flow consist of Xee image viewer, to browse, inspect, delete every image on the memory card.
